Present the Gift
According to Hebrew law, a male child is to be presented to The Lord with an appropriate sacrifice after the time of the mother's purification. So Joseph and Mary brought Jesus to the temple in obedience to the law of their faith. While they were there, both Simeon and Anna prophesied over the Christ Child. Like Joseph and Mary, we also need to 'Present the Gift' we have received by giving it back to the Lord. By this act of our will we are saying to the Lord “not my will but yours be done” in and through this gift you have given to me. Expect this act of obedience to release greater clarity about how your gift is to be used as well as the depth and breadth of its impact. If you will "Present the Gift" you've received the way the Holy Spirit directs you, amazing things will begin to transpire and like Joseph and Mary you will "marvel" at the things spoken of your gift.
Now when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were completed, they brought Him to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord (as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the LORD ”), and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord, “A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.” (Luke 2:22-24 NKJV)
