Bless the Gift

If you have ever gone to a professional sporting event, particularly a basketball or hockey game played inside an arena, it is not unusual for the home team to flash on the scoreboard at sometime during the game:

Magnify the Gift

Magnify the Gift
Growing up I attended a Baptist church and every Christmas the choir would do a cantata in honor of the season. As a teenager, I played piano for the choir. The song I remember most from those cantatas was one called The Magnificat and it was Mary’s response set to music. An alto with a deep rich voice intoned these holy words and her haunting voice stays with me to this day.

Desire the Gift

Desire the Gift
When we get news of our impending gift, we run through a myriad of emotions and don’t always immediately “Desire the Gift.” While we may “Receive the Gift,” “Question the Gift,” and even “Name the Gift,” we must process through the announcement of the gift until we ultimately “Desire the Gift” and wholeheartedly embrace it. Such was the case with Joseph and myself.

Question the Gift

Question the Gift
This Christmas I am opening the gift of “Seeing.” By that, I mean I want to be able to see the truth in any situation. I want to see beyond the surface and into the realm where all truth resides. The baby Jesus will one day grow up and utter these words, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” We are only free to the degree of truth we know and walk in; therefore, I want to be a “Seer” of truth. One way to do that is to ask powerful questions. In fact, when I wrote the book, Recognize Your Significance, one TRINSPIRATION® phrase I asked people to consider is “Ask Powerful Questions.”

Name The Gift

Name The Gift
When you are expecting a baby, one of the first things you start doing is thinking of names for this precious gift. Yesterday, we encouraged you to “receive the gift” and today it is time to “Name the Gift.” Naming your gift makes it personal. You begin to take ownership. When the angel appeared unto Mary and told her she had been chosen to be the mother of the Messiah, he also told her the baby’s name was to be Y’shua or Jesus as the Greeks would pronounce it. There was a reason He was to be called Y’shua because “He will save the people from their sins.”
